Summer Bee Cocktail
The kids and I got to spend some time at the end of July-early August back in PA visiting family and friends. AND we got to spend some time at my parents’ mounting home in Skytop, PA. This is one of our favorite place to be not only for all the fun family activities available all year round, but also for the delicious food, yummy drinks, and wonderful service at the lodge. Joe, the bartender, is always creating new drinks for us and made us the Summer Bee. It quickly became my new favorite summer cocktail, so I got the recipe so I could still have it when back in Michigan. This refreshingly sweet drink is perfect after a hot, summer day!
The hardest part of this recipe was finding the pear vodka! My mom and I looked for it up in the mountains and back by their house outside of Philadelphia and had no luck. I found it at a small little deli type liquor store in Michigan. It was the last bottle and was hiding behind other bottles, so be prepared to have to do a little searching to find it!
Anyways….I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!
- 2 oz. pear vodka
- 2 oz. vodka (Joe makes a real stiff drink and this recipe is still good without this extra vodka 😉 )
- 2 oz. lime juice
- 2oz. honey simple syrup
- lime wedge (for garnish)
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Shake to combine.
- Pour drink over ice into a frosted glass.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.
Now that I have all this pear vodka… please share your favorite cocktails that use it!
